There are MANY people out there who are uncertain of what’ going on in the market and often in line with that, they make decisions. If we continue on with such way, then we are just meant to be losers. Therefore, it is absolutely vital that we know what’s going on in the Crypto field before making our decision, it is the ONLY way we can move forward in terms of making money and doing it regularly. I keep complete update about the Cryptocurrency market through CryptoNewsTrends, it is without doubt one of the BEST news providing sites and allow one to stay updated with all news.
talking about timers, any way to have a sort system where it records the time as a time sheet or something to the relveant project. someting like toggle. So when working on a project the timer is specific to that particular project only. and there is summary, showing at the end of the day/week/month the time spent on each project. thanks
What you have to understand is that this link was for a sale that happened last July-August. You can see on the upper right of that linked page:
Sold by Auction, Ended 161 days ago
The developer who successfully purchased Freeter in that sale, was active here for a couple of months. He expressed interest in the feedback that he got from customers here on this forum. Then, he disappeared. He has not made comment here in quite a long time. I have already moved on. I still am checking in to see if there has been any movement but as far as I can tell, Freeter development has completely stalled out.
I noticed that just before it was sold there was a sale on the full version. That was when I first discovered Freeter. Just after it was sold, there has been one and maybe two sales on Freeter. I don't like being so cynical but perhaps that was a quick way of wringing some cash out of the project and then, moving on.
I keep saying I want to give the developer the opportunity to speak up, and so far he has not. This is particularly odd since in the two months after the sale he was very active here on the forums.
I feel bad that I let two other forums know how great Freeter was after I got my license. Now it seems my reputation is sinking a bit as Freeter remains without any clear developer support or feedback on these forums.
windows -> windows, I had to copy appdata/roaming/freeter folder.
Freeter then had my images, data etc... while all of the settings I had for using CLoud space..were ignored besides for a Freeter.FreeterData json/or/XML file... that only held component placements and texts. No images, links, file links,... basically 80% of Freeter data is not cloud capable in the current suggested sense.
A way around this, for SameOS -> SameOS is use Google backup and sync, I would avoid pCloud for the virtual folders as I reported massive memory leaks and other issues to their CEO last year after weeks of requesting his email address... and i was ignored.
I tested pCloud again...and the massive memory leak is still there.
WHY ARE SOME DEVS SO ARROGANT AND LAZY ?! UUUUUGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!
Although I have done web sites in the past, for myself and for services sold to others, web development is not currently in my workflow. I cannot say much about using Freeter in this way. However, Freeter seems in it’s inception to be a tool aimed directly at the sort of work that you describe. There are now two YouTube videos on getting started which will show you more about that. If you haven’t seen them yet, here are the links:
I am using Freeter to mange all the projects I have to do from the everyday mundane to using Freeter for researrch. I am still learning about how to apply the best work-flow for my needs with what Freeter already does and keeping in mind the developers active interest in continual improvement with Freeter.
For example, right now there isn‘t a way to add formatting or style to a text field, there isn‘t a way to print a text fiels or a todo list, there is no way to review progreass gloabally on all my projects, and the links menu is global and not project specific. All these issues mandate various work-around stratagies and will hopfully be addressed realtivly soon (my hope and opinion only)
Global links menu probably would help you more than it helps me. If you are mostly focused on IT work ,then you likely want to create a link of sites that you will use multiple time such as Github and have that resounrce abalible to all your projects.
The developer has expresssed interest inmodifying this feature in the future because for some, seeing too many links globally and focusing on projects which are not all the same is not helpful and adds clutter and tempts confusion (ie, writing a book instead of real-time online IT work)
Which is to say that I am using Freeter 80% desk work and 20% web work. Therefore my work-flow is primarily local, single user focused.
